Tiny Desk AI with Friends: Plan Your Five-Person Band

Make a Tiny Desk AI video with your friends. Assign five band roles, prepare individual portraits and choose a pack by video count, not group size.

Put your friends in a five-person Tiny Desk-style band by assigning one portrait to each role you want to personalize. The roles are lead singer, keyboard player, two backing singers and saxophone player. One complete band video uses 10 credits; you do not need a separate purchase for each friend.

Does a five-person video need the five-video pack?

No. The US$9.99 Starter pack includes 10 credits, enough for one complete video with all five roles personalized. A five-video pack pays for five separate videos, not five people in one clip. Choose a larger pack only when you want more finished videos.

How should we choose the five band roles?

Agree on the cast before uploading: one friend on lead, one at the keyboard, two on backing vocals and one on saxophone. Keep the two backing positions clearly labeled left and right. Click a role to sign in, then match each portrait to its labeled card before purchasing. Review the full arrangement and select Generate; choose a pack if you need credits.

You can personalize fewer than five roles if some friends are not taking part. Unselected roles keep the original performers. You do not need to fill every slot, and adding the remaining friends does not raise the credit cost of that video.

Can we upload one group selfie?

Use separate portraits, one consenting adult per selected role. The creator does not assign everyone from a single group selfie. Ask each friend for a clear, well-lit portrait with an unobstructed face and upper body. If you crop a group photo, make sure the crop clearly shows only the intended person.

What should the group agree on before purchase?

Make sure every person agrees to appear and knows where you intend to share the finished clip. Choose the account that will select the portraits, buy any needed credits and download the video. Use that same account to return to My videos. There is no need to share account passwords with the group.

Can we change the cast after generating?

Check the role assignments before submission. A completed video cannot be edited by changing a portrait in the creator; a different cast requires a new generation and another 10 credits. If there is a technical or quality problem, contact support with the video ID before starting repeated new attempts.

What will our band receive?

The output is an approximately 19-second MP4 with reference audio, available in My videos after processing. Watch the whole clip together to check each person and role before sharing. The guides and trend references are free to view, but there is no free personalized AI generation preview.
